JERIG PLACES FOURTH AT NATIONAL SILVER GLOVES

NEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWSNEWS

The National Silver Gloves Tournament ended on Saturday, Feb. 7 with Zanesville's Travis Jerig taking fourth place.  He lost in his bid for his

fourth national championship title when he battled David Levin on Davenport, Iowa.  Levin was very strong and Jerig was firing every counter in

his arsenal as Levin backed him up.  Jerig was able to score heavily and kept the score close into the third round but Levin caught him on the

ropes.  Jerig took too much time getting off them and wasn't able to score when he turned him around giving Levin the edge on the scorecards

and the victory by decision.
