The Boxing Program is currently Coached and trained by T.J. Hartmeyer, Brady Boyden, Les Hasten, John Dunlap and Kelly Severt. Training is six days per week in three different teams- "A"-"B"-"TEAM USA" with sessions lasting 2 hours- SEE SCHEDULE BELOW . "A" Team training is targeted towrads 14 years and under and "B" is targeted for 14 years and above. "TEAM USA" is CLOSED SESSIONS with participants accepted only on basis of academics, inspiration and dedication with attendance mandatory under voluntary contractural agreement. "TEAM USA" trains specifically for national and international competition including Olympic computerized scoring systems.
PAL Boxing teaches respect, discipline, sportsmanship, proper nutrition and exercise. Education is of primary concern to all participants with passing grades mandatory. For competitions including out-of-state tournaments, grade averages of 3.0 (Honor Roll) or better are needed and only those with the grades and near-perfect attendance records can make the cut. All practice training sessions are "regimented" meaning that everyone works out together with no one "doing their own thing by themselves". Tardy or being late is not tolerated.
Boxing is free of charges to boys and girls aged 8 to 18 years. It is recommended that participants starting be aged 10 and above.
